Description
Try-It RHLC introduces young athletes ages 6 to 16 to the sport of lifesaving. Prerequisite: Completed Swimmer 2 or higher. This program allows participants to experience a variety of lifesaving activities during a one-hour session. Skills introduced include Tow a Manikin with Fins, Obstacle Swim, Manikin Carry, and Line Throw. RHLC level registration is based on athlete age. An athlete's age determines the skills required to compete at each level of competition in Ontario. As athletes progress through the age categories, the skills required for training and competition change. The club season runs from September to June and concludes with the opportunity to compete at the Ontario Lifesaving Sport Championships.
