This is a weekend crash-course of Bronze Medallion intended for adults. Bronze Medallion teaches lifesaving principles, incorporating the four components of water rescue education: judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness. Participants learn tows, carries, and release methods in preparation for challenging rescues of increasing risk. They also learn to respond to increasingly complex situations, involving conscious and unconscious people, in contact and non-contact rescues. An endurance swim of 400 meters in 12 minutes is required for successful completion of this level. Successful participants receive the Bronze Medallion award. 100 % attendance and participation are required.
Completion Criteria:
• Attend and participate in 100 % of the course.
• Successfully demonstrate competency in required skills, activities and final evaluation.

- Must be 18 years of age by first day of the course
