Do you know what a leafhopper is?
Join the staff at Ojibway Nature Centre to dive into the mysterious world of insects!
You will learn about insects and their role in the ecosystem and different ways we can contribute to community science in our own backyard.
We will do:
- introductory insect identification
- how to use a microscope
- catch-identify-release hike
- learn how to use iNaturalist for citizen science
- learn about non-native insects and what to do if you find one
Please come dressed for the weather and wear comfortable, close-toed shoes for walking.
Parent supervision is required.
