Description
Join us for a relaxing and social guided nature walk through the beautiful trails of Lynde Shores Conservation Area. You will be guided by members from the Central Lake Ontario Conservation (CLOCA) organization, and will include interactive games, nature trivia, and opportunities to learn about the unique ecosystems found right here in Durham Region. Keep an eye out for different wildlife including different species of birds that you will have a chance to feed (seeds will be provided). The walk will be on path, relatively flat and at a slow pace, approximately lasting 1.5hrs. We will meet up at the Lynde Shores parking lot at the scheduled time (623 Halls Rd S, Whitby, ON L1P 1Z5). Parking passes will be included within the event fee. This event will happen with rain or shine and will only be canceled due to extreme weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for the weather and have what you need to be comfortable walking outdoors for the allotted time (ex. closed-toed shoes, clothing layers, bug spray, sunscreen, water bottle, walking poles, etc). Refreshments will be provided (juice, granola bars).
