Description

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival through culture, creativity, and hands-on crafting! In this engaging workshop, children and families will learn about Mid-Autumn festival while creating their own mooncake-shaped felt coin pouch to take home.

Participants will explore the origins of the Festival, hear the legend of Chang’e and the Jade Rabbit, discover traditional customs and celebrations, and enjoy a fun textile craft inspired by the iconic mooncake. Using pre-cut felt pieces, simple sewing techniques, and decorative embellishments, participants will create a unique coin pouch while developing fine motor skills and creative confidence.

This workshop offers a welcoming opportunity for families from all backgrounds to learn about oriental culture through an interactive and meaningful hands-on experience.

Children below age 9 shall be accompanied by a parent/caregiver.
