Description

This introductory class welcomes those with little or no Pilates experience.

Pilates uses a structured system of body-weight exercises performed on a mat, focusing on core strength and body awareness. Leg circles and "roll-ups" are examples. Over time, Pilates helps improve posture, breathing, overall strength, and mobility.

Because the movements rely on your own body weight for resistance, Pilates is accessible to all fitness levels, with modifications available to suit individual abilities, although please note, you will need to be able to bear weight on hands and knees and stand up and down with ease. This class is not intended for rehabilitation.
