The emphasis for this recreational hockey program is fun and learning through skill development and drills. This class is targeted to individuals who have some proficiency with the fundamentals of hockey. Those participating must have passed the Hockey for Fun: Beginner Level to register for this class.
Participants must have the ability to skate from one end of the ice to the other unassisted. If unsure, attend a public skate and ask an on-ice attendant to evaluate.
This program requires participants to be in full gear which includes: hockey skates, shin pads, hockey jersey, hockey pants, jock/jill, hockey socks, chest protector, elbow pads, hockey gloves, neck guard, hockey helmet, and a hockey stick). All equipment must be purchased prior to the first class and participants will not be allowed on the ice if coaches deem the equipment insufficient or unsafe. Helmets and skates can be rented. The rental cost is included in the lesson fee.
