Celebrating Mid-Autumn Moon Festival
The 2026 Mid-Autumn Moon Festival falls on September 25. This festival dates back 2000 years ago, celebrating the year's fullest moon, equinox, with unity, harvest and gratitude, often described as an Asian Thanksgiving, and celebrate connections and cultural sharing.
This family-friendly event starts with Mooncake Coin Pouch Workshop (3:30-5pm in the Lily Lee Studio (
Registration required), followed by energetic Korean drumming, traditional Chinese music (guzheng, erhu, dizi and others), family trio, and Tibetan cultural dance performances in the Atrium.
Performances include:
-VANTA Korean Drummers
-Beideng Maple Gesang Guozhuang Dance Group
-Yang Family Trio (Piano, violin, cello)
-Vancouver Chinese Orchestra
