Position Type: On-call, scheduled
Rate/Hour: $27.59
Qualifications:
- Current holder of Standard First Aid/CPR-C
- Willing to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Significant experience with relevant program area (3-5 years)
- Line Dancing Certification or equivalent considered an asset
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Implements a comprehensive general interest or specialty program.
- Responsible for implementing lesson plans for each class.
- Instruction is progressive in nature (becomes more complex and/or builds on
skills/concepts learned previously).
- Ensures the supervision, safety & wellbeing of participants.
- Ensures set-up and take down of equipment before and after the program.
- Documents and communicates any incident/accidents that occur to the Recreation Lead.
- Excellent customer services skills with the ability to remain calm during difficult
situations and resolve conflicts tactfully.
