Delivered in partnership with Vaughan Emergency Planning Office. Learn how to stay safe, be prepared during emergencies and build confidence through real-world skills! You and your fellow emergency response campers will explore hazards like severe weather, flooding, heat waves and power outages through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations. You’ll learn directly from the City’s public safety partners and experts in the field as you practice survival first aid; build emergency kits for the home, car and pets; and bring home resources to help your family stay prepared. Camp culminates with an exciting challenge: The Amazing Race – Survive the Zombie Invasion! Working in teams, you’ll use your new emergency-ready skills to complete tasks and solve clues in a fun, fast-paced finale adventure! Note: The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. Before & After Care is available for campers who require care before the camp day begins, from 7:30-8:30am, and after the camp day has ended, from 4:30-6pm. Separate registration is required.
