Enrollment opens September 17, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.Learn how to sharpen your skating skills in this class. This is a chance to improve your speed, power, technique and control. Students will need prior skills in skating (listed below). Please visit a public skating session for an assessment if unsure about your ability.
Students must be able to:
T-push and glide for 2-3 metres (left & right)
Backward "C" pushes alternating feet
Backward gliding on two feet for 1 metre
Forward circle thrusts (clockwise & counter clockwise)
Backward single sculling (clockwise & counter clockwise)
Controlled inside edges (left & right)
Side/hockey stop
Backward snowplow stop (any style)
Two foot turn on a straight line
