Description

Prerequisite: Completion of Bronze Medallion. All candidates must present prerequisite by the beginning of the second day of the course.

Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training, including an introduction to safety supervision. Bronze Cross is a pre-requisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard (NL) and Instructor certifications. Swimmers develop proficiency at performing patient assessments, managing aquatic spinal injuries and preventing loss of life in a variety of aquatic emergencies while developing stroke endurance and fitness training skills. Includes a 400 metre swim in 11 minutes or less. It is also worth two Grade 11 high school credits.

100% attendance required for completion of this course
