Basic First Aid (Blended)

A one-day course providing essential lifesaving first aid and CPR skills for the workplace or home. This course meets provincial workplace safety requirements and follows the latest Red Cross first aid and CPR guidelines. (Occupational First Aid Level 1 equivalent)

Course content includes:

Preparing to respond

The EMS system

Check, Call, Care

Airway emergencies

Breathing and circulation emergencies

First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest

Wound care

Blended format:

Participants complete 1–3 hours of online self-paced learning prior to the course date, followed by a 4-hour in-person session.

Certificate is valid for 3 years issued by the Canadian Red Cross
