Core skills learned in this level are water safety, recognition of swimmers of all types in distress and how to rescue them, assessment and treatment of a conscious patients suffering from deadly bleeds, Stroke evaluation and development to be able to swim 350m, 100m swim in 3 min, and development of a support kick to be able to carry a 2.3kg (5lb) object for 15m
