Celebrate the winter break with indoor and outdoor sports, cooperative games, arts & crafts, and much more! This fun filled camp will have your kids jumping around the gym, making crafty creations, and more. Each day will be filled with fun and activities that promote social connection, adventure and physical activity. Camp is held in the community centre and will generally include 1-2 fun and engaging outings traveling by public transit.
Parents/Guardians will receive an email with more information and forms before camp.
The sensory environment may include loud noises, bright lights, or crowded spaces. Sensory resource kits may be available, including fidget tools, and visual aids. The day camp space includes a chill-out zone and a low-sensory area, with staff working to provide quiet breaks in low-stimulation zones.
Program staff are typically post-secondary students with diverse interests and levels of experience, and generally between 18 and 22 years old. This program has a staff-to-participant ratio of 1:10, with additional support from youth volunteers.
