Sehatmand te Taqatvar/Active and Strong

This class, led in Punjabi and Hindi (whenever possible) is perfect for adults seeking a culturally supportive fitness experience for better health and functionality. Enjoy your afternoon chai while socializing with members and building a community.
Inclusive and Welcoming Environment: Thoughtful coaching offers various exercise options, including chair and standing options to ensure everyone feels included and supported.
Gentle Introduction to Physical Activity: The class provides functional exercises to help participants stay strong for daily activities and build muscle strength to support joints.
Balance and Fall Prevention: Exercises aim to improve balance and reduce fall risk while emphasizing technique and control.


ALL BODIES COMMUNITY RECREATION AND FITNESS
We are an inclusive, choice - based, community, health and wellness program Welcoming every body the workouts are easy to follow, scalable and designed to help you develop confidence and a foundation for health, fitness, or performance. We teach skills and movements transferable to the "gym" and other activities. Our Learn to Play Sports are for folks wanting to return to or try a sport for the first time.

To participate, use an ABC Drop in. an ABC 10 pass usages card or purchase an ABC Flexi pass which includes access to all the ABC group activities and the Vancouver Park Board's pools, ice rinks and fitness centres. To help us track attendance please register on the master roster. LAC discount is applicable.
