Description

Inspired by the Kanienkehaka (commonly referred to as Mohawk) word, Kakhwí:io (Gak-wee-yo), meaning good food, this program will help us learn to cook while inviting us to think about how we are connecting to the land. We will utilise fresh, seasonal ingredients to make simple, nourishing food. In this session we turn often invasive blackberries into compote, cobbler, and flaky cut biscuits. NOTE: This session includes some local foraging for berries. If you do not want to join for the walk, but for the cooking, please contact Marni at marni.mcmullen@vancouver.ca, or (604) 257-8389 to make arrangements.
