Skating - Preschool Level 4/5

Students must be able to:

Preschool 3:
Skate forwards across the rink
Backward skate/step halfway across the rink (any style)
Glide on two feet for 1 metre
Touch ankles while gliding and return to standing
Intro to double sculling (bubbles)
Intro to stopping (scraping)
Hop on two feet

Preschool 4:
Students must be able to:
Skate forwards across the rink alternating feet
Backward skating across the rink (any style)
Glide on 2 feet for 2-3 metres
Double sculling (5 consecutive)
Snowplow stop (any style)
Side stepping
Skate a slalom course
Glide on one foot for 1/2 a metre (left and right)

Preschool 5:
Students must be able to:
Forward skating using V pushes
Forward double sculling
Glide on two feet on a curve
Intro to backwards sculling
Backward gliding on two feet for ½ a metre
Half snowplow stop (left and right)
Side step/cross feet on a straight line
Informal inside edges (left and right)
