Description

Prerequisite: At least 8 years of age, successful completion Swimmer 6 or equivalent swim assessment.

In this level

This is a module based program. Core skills learned in this level are water safety, recognition of swimmers of all types in distress and how to rescue them, assessment and treatment of a conscious choking patient, Stroke evaluation and development to be able to swim 200m in 6 minutes, and development of a lifesaving kick to be able to support a 2.3kg (5lb) object at the surface for 1 minute
