Description

Prerequisite: At least 8 years of age, successful completion of the Swimmer 8 – Ranger or equivalent swim assessment.

In this level

This is a module based program. Core skills learned in this level are water safety, recognition of swimmers of all types in distress and how to rescue them, assessment and treatment of a patients suffering from asthma, allergic reactions and fractures, Stroke evaluation and development to be able to swim 600m, 300m swim in 9 min, and development of a support kick to be able to carry a 4.5kg (10lb) object at the surface for 1 minute in deep water.
