Description

Prerequisite: At least 8 years of age, proof successful completion of the skills in Red Cross Swim Kids Level 9, or Lifesaving Society Swimmer 7 – Rookie, or equivalent swim assessment.

In this level

This is a module based program. Core skills learned in this level are water safety, recognition of swimmers of all types in distress and how to rescue them, assessment and treatment of a conscious patients suffering from deadly bleeds, Stroke evaluation and development to be able to swim 350m, 100m swim in 3 min, and development of a support kick to be able to carry a 2.3kg (5lb) object for 15m
