We've heard the saying "practice makes perfect", while perfection may be appealing, it's an unrealistic expectation. Instead, it's more important to practice for continuous growth, learn new skills, and refine familiar shots. Our actions and efforts become second nature through practice, shaping how we consistently do things over time.
These sessions focus on mindfulness, intentionality, and improvement by cultivating positive habits and skills that can be integrated strategically into a successful game plan.
Sessions will cover the following concepts:
- Dynamic warm-up and injury prevention strategies.
- Court warm-up.
- First shot: Serve.
- Second shot: Return of Serve.
- Third shot: Drop or Dive.
- Fourth shot: Keeping opponents back or neutral shot.
- Fifth shot/seventh shot/ninth shot: Getting yourself to the NVL.
- Turning defense to offence.
- Ideal court positioning.
- Helpful body mechanics, including footwork.

The last session of each set will be a "king/queen of the court" tournament.
Session format: 15-min dynamic warm up, 90 minutes of drills, 45 mins of monitored game play.
