Description

Jodo is a Japanese art that means “way of the stick”. In this art, students are taught to rely on the precision and flexibility of the Jo, a short staff, to overcome the inherent advantages of a blade-wielding opponent using non-lethal force.

This traditional Japanese martial art is a wonderful way to cultivate character and train the body. It nurtures a spirit of respect, loyalty, sincerity and confidence. It trains and strengthens the body, quickens your actions, and builds endurance.

Our dojo is a member of the Canadian Kendo Federation, and our growing, supportive community spans various locations across North America and Japan.
