Description

Have fun and build fundamentals tennis skills with Precision Tennis’ fun, inclusive, and dynamic half-day summer camp! Tennis Canada-certified coaches will supervise and teach your child for 15 hours total of on-court and off-court programming. Our program aims to introduce the sport of tennis in an interactive way and to ensure the future success for young tennis players. Alongside technical training, we stress the importance of tactics as an essential aspect of tennis development. Camps run outdoors from Monday to Friday, weather permitting. Participants must bring their own racket. For a recommendation, visit precisiontennis.ca/faq or contact hello@precisiontennis.ca. Please sign the activity waiver prior to the first day: precisiontennis.ca/waiver. This camp takes place outdoors at the Killarney Secondary School tennis courts, just south of the community centre. Weather cancellation updates: precisiontennis.ca/updates. For email and text notifications, playing level tracking and more, add this class to your Precision account: precisiontennis.ca/login.

Is the Participant “Group Ready”?

Recreation day camps are group-based programs where kids make friends, play, and learn together. Children should be group ready, meaning they can take part in the group most of the time. A group-ready child can:
Be in busy, active group spaces
Listen and follow directions from staff
Play, join activities, and stay safe with others
Move between activities with support and handle sounds, lights, and crowds (staff can help with transitions and sensory needs).

If a child spends more than 30% of the day away from group activities, staff may talk with parents/guardians to review if camp is the right fit and to explore supports or accommodations to help the child stay safe and take part in the program. Our goal is to help every child be safe, included, and part of the group as much as possible.

The Killarney Community Centre reserves the right to re-evaluate a participant's registration if:
The participant's needs cannot be safely met
The participant poses a danger to themselves or others
Staff are unable to support the care level necessary for a participant's safe and successful program experience
The participant's medical, physical or behavioral condition is significantly different to what was disclosed
