Academy Farms is a 108-acre property located in the Agricultural Land Reserve in the South Langley area. The farm is a social enterprise of the John Volken Academy that offers a holistic approach to life skill and job training experiences. The real life skills provides their students with the opportunity to live their invaluable life experiences, advance their proficiency in the work force, and create the confidence needed to carry them into the next stage of their lives after graduation. Academy Students have the opportunity to work on the Farm, helping to operate and maintain the state-of-the-art facility, contribute in the raising of the animals, and support the Farm Market in retail sales and product inventory. The herd consists of 350+ Water buffalo and 100+ Bison. following the farm we will have lunch at Mr Patio A’s Buffet Restaurant at Newlands Golf Course. (included) Guided by Simon Yan.
