Description
Our knowledgeable fitness staff will guide participants through a four week program teaching exercises to cover all components of a complete fitness program. At the end of the 4 weeks, participants will have a fitness program to follow and have the confidence to use the Fitness Centre on their own. Each week will focus on a different component of the fitness program including: warm up and cool downs, strength, stretching, balance, and core. The program will consist of one day a week where you will be guided on exercises and a second optional day where you can learn an additional exercise, as well as ask questions and work with a staff to help practice your exercises.
After completion of the registered program, you will feel more comfortable and confident in any fitness centre, and gained connections to staff and other like minded members in your community.
Please note that a completed Par-Q and Consent & Release are required.
Maximum 4 registered. Registration is free; Fitness Centre drop-in admission, valid Flexi-pass or Usage pass required.
Priority is for new participants. If you have taken the class before, please don't register and attend the Thursday non registered session instead. If the class isn't full then you may be able to register again. Please email larry.turko@vancouver.ca if you would like to register if you have already taken the class
Optional Class on Thursdays 11am is just a drop in class and you need to have a valid flexi-pass, 10 visit pass or pay a drop in fee
