Description
Students will learn chess notation and some simple theoretical endgames such as King and rook and King and pawn. They will also learn strategy through exploring some short games (miniatures) played by players of the past as well as their own games. Homework will feature simple puzzles and students may be asked to present a game they played. No class Aug 3.
