Description
Students will learn the rules of chess, explore some tactical concepts such as checkmates, forks, pins, etc., some basic strategy and familiarize themselves with the game. The homework will feature the tactical concepts learned in class. Also some simple endgame concepts such as 2 rooks checkmate and king and queen checkmate will be explored. No class Aug 3.
