Join us for an engaging and high-energy introduction to traditional African music and rhythm! In this hands-on program, children will explore drumming, movement, call-and-response songs, and basic rhythmic patterns inspired by various African traditions. Participants will build confidence, coordination, listening skills, and teamwork while learning to play together as an ensemble. The series culminates in a performance at the Vancouver International Children’s Festival on May 30, offering students an exciting opportunity to share what they have learned in a vibrant festival setting. No prior experience required. All instruments provided.
