Week 2 Main Out Trip: Bowling (subject to change)
Please note there is No Waitlist for this program.
Prepare for a summer filled with fun and adventure! Activities will include indoor and outdoor sports, cooperative games, arts & crafts, and entertainment! We’ll embark on fieldtrips each week, travelling by walking, public transit and charter bus to explore the city and the great outdoors. Parents/Guardians will receive an email with the Parent Communication/Policy manual and forms before camp, detailing camp expectations and guidelines. Children must be between the ages of 8-12, to register for camp.
Day Camps generally include 1-2 fun and engaging outings each week for children of varying ages and interests, offering a blend of sensory-rich and imaginative experiences. Participants will explore bustling urban areas, learn about their environment, and take part in different activities that promote social connection, adventure, and physical activity.
This daycamp is held in the False Creek Community Centre Mini Gym within the Centre. The weekly schedule may also include going to the spray park, pool and ice rink. The sensory environment may include loud noises, bright lights, or crowded spaces. Staff prepare a daily visual schedule to help campers know what to expect for the day. Sensory resource kits may be available, including noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and visual aids. The day camp space includes a chill-out zone and a low-sensory area, to provide quiet breaks in low-stimulation zones.
Program staff are typically post-secondary students with diverse interests and levels of experience, and are generally between 17 to 22 years old. This program has a staff-to-participant ratio of 1:10.
Please reach out to us at the time of registration if your child needs more leader attention and support in order to participate in camp.
Please pack a healthy lunch, snack, and drink and have your child dressed for the weather. A schedule of out-trips and parental consent forms will be available and posted on our website by May 1.
Parental and/or caregiver consent forms must be completed and returned before the 1st day of camp.
