Description

Registration is only available to participants who have been pre approved and hold an Adapted Recreation Pass. To learn more or to apply for a Recreation Support Plan, please contact access.services@vancouver.ca or call 604 718 8270.
Prior to registering for a camp, please consider whether your child is group ready. A child is considered group ready when they can participate safely in a camp setting with a group of peers, either independently or with some extra support. Support typically available includes general assistance such as reminders, simple prompts, visual cues, help with transitions, and encouragement to participate. Group ready campers are able to follow basic safety instructions, stay with the group with minimal prompting, and engage in activities with the level of support typically available in the program.
Champlain Heights reserves the right to re-evaluate a participant's registration if:
The participant's needs cannot be safely met.
The participant poses a danger to themselves or others.
Staff are unable to provide the level of care necessary for a participant's safe and successful program experience.
The participant's medical, physical or behavioural condition is significantly different to what was disclosed.
