Description

Want to develop your on-ice speed? In Power Skating you will work towards adding power and strength into each skating stride. With a focus on agility and coordination, you will learn power strides, starting, stopping, lateral mobility and power drills.

Successful completion of Learn to Skate 4 or able to demonstrate crossovers, backward stopping, one foot turns and backward circle thrusts.

Mandatory Equipment: Skaters must bring (wear) a CSA-approved hockey helmet, hockey stick and hockey skates. A helmet with a full visor or cage is recommended.
