Workshop: Sun Dyeing

Are you looking for focused classes with a shorter time commitment? Sun Dyeing workshop, join us for a fun and educational workshop where you'll learn the art of sun-dying using natural materials. Discover how to create images on paper and fabric using plants as stencils. This hands-on course will allow participants to create unique designs on 100% cotton material or paper using a natural turmeric dye solution and the light from the Sun. Please arrive at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal in time to take the 9:00am ferry to Centre Island. Upon arrival at the Centre Island Ferry Dock, our Garden Staff will meet you and accompany you on a short walk to Franklin Children's Garden.

Note: In the event of an overcast or raint day, an alternate activity will be run.
