The Art of Batik

Enjoy the vibrant art of batik in this four-week introductory workshop. Participants will learn the traditional wax-resist dyeing process step by step, exploring how wax and dye work together to create layered patterns and rich colour on fabric. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, you’ll design and produce your own unique batik textiles. By the end of the course, you’ll have beautiful, finished pieces that can be used as wall art, gifts, or decorative fabric. This workshop requires an additional $30 material fee (cash only), payable to instructor for fabric and dyes. Materials list will be provided.
