Chinese Fan Painting

Participants will explore the rich cultural history of Chinese fan painting while learning foundational brush techniques, composition and symbolism. Guided step-by-step, you'll practice using ink on delicare surfaces, introducing the basics of brush control, ink flow and the balance of this centuries-old practice. By the end of the session, you'll leave with your own hand-painted fan - a unique piece that blends artistry, culture and personal expression. This workshop requires an additional $40 material fee (cash only), payable to the instructor for inks and fan. A materials list will be provided.
