In partnership with University Health Network, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, a modified exercise program suitable for adults with mobility challenges, who can walk at least 10 metres and may use a cane or walker. Exercises are designed to increase strength, balance, mobility and overall health. Participant screening is required prior to registration, please contact Pauline Phillips at 416 395 0267 before registering for this program.
You may bring a support person with you. FitnessTO memberships do not apply.
Participants Must Be Able To:
1. Walk 10 meters (2 lane residential street) without the help of another person.
-Can use other kind of aide.
-Speed and quality is not important
2. Follow instructions and demonstrations in small group setting.
3. Safely stand and move with hand support for balance.
4. Rise from a chair on their own.
