Explore the distinctive qualities of spring light and seasonal change and learn how to bring them to life in your landscape paintings. You’ll study how shifting light and transitional weather affect colour, atmosphere and emotional tone. Work with spring-specific colour palettes, learn to paint light, shadow and transparency in nature and develop techniques for depicting new growth and fresh foliage. Emphasis is on helping students translate the vitality and mood of the spring season into expressive and cohesive landscape compositions.
