Description
This course is offered in collaboration with the Lifesaving Society. The Lifesaving Society Assistant Instructor course prepares candidates to help certified instructors with swimming and lifesaving classes. Candidates are introduced to key principles of teaching, and they master basic progressions. The roles and responsibilities of instructors and their assistants are emphasized.
Prerequisite: Minimum age of 14 years old and Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard certification (current or expired). Candidates should bring their Canadian Lifesaving Manual for reference.
