GACC PD Day Youth-Only Weight Room Orientation (Oct 23)

Youth ages 13-15 who complete an orientation MUST go to the front desk afterwards to update their photo on account while holding the "Orientation Complete" poster.

Did you know that an orientation is required for youth ages 13 to 15 to use the gym without adult supervision?

The goal of an orientation is to provide someone new to exercise or new to the facility a basic introduction to the weight room. All instructors are experienced and certified.

The Orientation will consist of:

• Review of the weight room guidelines posted and common etiquette
• Tour of the weight room and the various areas while touching on what to expect from fellow weight room users
• Orientation to at least one piece of cardio equipment, showing basic interface directions to get the machine going
• Orientation to at least one weight machine, showing diagram and instructions
• Wrap-up and questions
