Description
Tai Chi Chuan may be thought of as meditation in motion. Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong both promote serenity through gentle, flowing movements.
The intent is unifying mind and body to promote coordination and balance while opening the internal pathways of the body for living energy, Qi (pronounced Chee), to flow more freely. This in turn promotes calmness, relief from negative effects of stress and facilitates more positive overall wellness.
The class consists of 75% Qigong exercise and 25% Instruction and performance of the 24 Posture Simplified Tai Chi Chuan Form.
Class is designed for people who are mobile, able to stand on feet unassisted and are able to follow spoken direction, knowing left from right. Seated students also are welcome.
No previous Tai Chi Chuan or Qigong experience is necessary.
