Description

Assumption of Risk

By engaging in ice skating, participants are deemed to have knowledge of and assume the inherent risks of skating, which include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Injuries that result from collisions or contact with other skaters
  • Injuries that result from slips, trips and falls.
  • Ice conditions that may change over the course of the session due to temperature and skater traffic.
Public Programming Admissions Requirements and Rules
  • Participants must be 18 years and older
  • Helmets, skates, gloves and sticks are required
  • Practice only, no scrimmages and no shinny
  • Slapshots are NOT permitted
  • Please be mindful of those around you when shooting the puck
  • Beginner skaters at one end of the rink, and more advanced skaters at the other end
  • Organized games or practices are NOT permitted
  • No goalies
  • Pre-registration online, in advance is strongly recommended
  • Proof of payment (ie. wristbands) may be required prior to entering the ice surface
  • Profanity and improper behaviour will not be permitted
  • Report all accidents or injuries to arena staff members immediately
  • No headsets, cell phones, or handheld electronic devices are to be used while skating
  • All participants must wear skates while on the ice surface
  • Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, or anyone under the influence will not be permitted on the premises
  • Max 25 participants
