Parent and Tot 3 to Preschool 1 Transition

This program is designed for children ages 2 to 4 who may not yet be ready for independent swimming. A parent will begin the program in the water with their child, with the goal of gradually transitioning out of the pool as their child's comfort and confidence increases. Parents should be prepared to enter the water each class; however, participation beyond the first two classes is not required if their child is comfortable engaging independently. Through fun, instructor-led activities and skills aligned with Preschool 1 content, swimmers will build water confidence, develop independence, and become comfortable participating in a group setting both with and without a parent in the water. By the end of the program, parents will know if their child is ready to register for Preschool 1 as an independent participant. The ratio for this level is 4 swimmers to 1 instructor. Prerequisite: Beginner or non-swimmer.
