Description

Discover how to transform a photograph into a painterly botanical artwork using pencil crayons and solvent blending techniques. Students will work from photo-transferred images featuring an elegant orchid arrangement and a close-up floral study. Using a limited colour palette and solvent blending, participants will learn how to create soft transitions, luminous colour, and realistic detail. Two wood panels allow students to practice techniques on one piece, while completing a finished artwork on the second.

All tools and materials will be provided upon payment of $20.00 Materials Fee to instructor at workshop. Bring an old credit card you don’t mind getting messy, and a bagged lunch.
