Lift your holiday spirit to a whole new level! Join us as we celebrate the holidays at the Observatory. There will be an engaging presentation where you will discover what winter is like elsewhere in our solar system, with remarkable real images of amazing ice planets and moons. We’ll recreate the winter night sky indoors in our Skylab using sophisticated planetarium software and offer viewing through the RHDDO’s 74-inch telescope for celestial objects like Saturn and other planets (weather dependent). Relax in the beautiful RHDDO Library, pose beside our huge Christmas Tree and try your hand at making some celestial crafts. Holidays at the RHDDO provides fun for the whole family! All individuals/family members attending this program must be registered and a registered adult must accompany any registered participants under the age of 16. Please wear/bring appropriate supplies for being outdoors and arrive 15 minutes prior to the program start time to sign in. This program runs rain or shine.
