Description
In Canada, over 130,000 hip or knee replacement are done each year. Once you have had the surgery and the post-surgical physiotherapy, what happens next? What can you do if you are still having trouble with some of your activities of daily living or don’t feel ready to safely return to all your fitness and recreational pursuits? This course is designed to help you take those next steps by focusing in four key areas. First is restoring good motor control over the full range of motion of the new joint and the supporting joints. Next is strengthening the muscles which support proper functioning of the new joint. Third is re-establishing good movement patterns needed for everyday living, and finally, improving balance and strengthening your core.
