The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) is our province’s primary funding body for the arts. Since 1963, the OAC has helped artists and arts organizations to realize their creative visions, build careers and audiences, and bring arts activity to communities of all sizes across Ontario.
In this practical, two-hour session, OAC Granting Officer Maura Broadhurst will introduce you to the Ontario Arts Council and its funding programs. You will learn how OAC programs are structured, who can apply, and the types of activities that are eligible. Maura will also break down the application form, explain how grant decisions are made, and answer your questions about OAC’s programs. This session will help you navigate the different opportunities available to artists through the OAC and demystify the funding process.
