Description

Come celebrate over 90 years of science and outreach done at the Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory. Participants will hear an engaging presentation explaining, in simple language, how important discoveries at the RHDDO were actually made, like Tom Bolton's discovery of Cygnus X-1, the first known Black Hole. Historical records and artifacts involved in the discoveries will be on display, and viewing through the 74-inch telescope will be provided (weather permitting). All individuals/family members attending this program must be registered and a registered adult must accompany any registered participants under 16 years old.. Please wear / bring appropriate supplies for being outdoors and arrive 15 minutes prior to the program start time in order to be signed in. This program runs rain or shine.
