The Lifesaving Society Swim and Lifesaving Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate basic swim strokes and related skills. Swim Instructors acquire proven teaching methods, a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques. Lifesaving Instructors prepares individuals to organize, plan, teach and evaluate lifesaving and first aid skills and resuscitation techniques. Prerequisite: Minimum 15 years old (by the first day of the course) and either Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard certifications. This program runs Fridays from 5-10pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 1-10pm. Exclusions indicated below are a result of the other programs scheduled in the pool and you will need to be present the full course time.
