Description

In Canada, over 130,000 hip or knee replacement are done each year. Once surgery and the post-surgical physiotherapy is completed, what happens next? Can one resume daily activities, living and safely return to all your fitness and recreational pursuits? This informative and active session focusses on those people who have had or are considering a hip or knee replacement. This workshop allows participants to investigate how joints work and why replacement may be needed, exploring the joint replacement process and post-surgical physiotherapy which begins the rehabilitation process. Complimentary refreshments will be provided; and the opportunity to join in on interactive games where participants will get to know fellow members of the community.
