Description
Discover the fundamentals of plein air drawing in this introductory outdoor workshop. Participants will learn basic observational drawing and sketching techniques using a watercolour marker and water collected from Noons Creek while exploring and capturing the surrounding landscape. No experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided. Classes are led by Olesia Kharlamova, an art instructor based in Port Moody. This event will take place rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
Olesia is a Ukrainian-born watercolour artist and art instructor based in Port Moody, BC. Her work explores landscape, light, and emotional interiority — drawing on nature's resilience as a quiet counterpoint to the upheaval of displacement and war.
